Axl’s journey

Axl embodies the spirit of resilience, courage, and hope that drives the Alligator Axl Foundation Inc. His journey began in 2023 when, at just six months old, he faced the unimaginable—a diagnosis of an Atypical Choroid Plexus Papilloma brain tumor, accompanied by hydrocephalus and seizures. The odds were stacked against him, but Axl fought back.

In November 2023, Axl underwent his first craniotomy to remove the tumor. It was a daunting procedure, a life-altering moment for his family and all who stood by his side. Despite the initial setback, Axl’s strength shone through. However, the battle wasn’t over. By May 2024, he faced another challenge with a tumor recurrence, requiring a second surgery.

But Axl didn’t back down. Today, he continues to inspire us all with his tenacity. He’s thriving, undergoing regular MRIs to monitor his progress and ensure that the shadow of that tumor doesn’t return. Axl is more than a survivor; he’s a beacon of inspiration for families facing similar battles. Through him, the foundation rallies for awareness, research, and support for those affected by brain tumors. Together, we’re turning challenges into triumphs, one step at a time. Axl represents the fight—bold, unwavering, and filled with hope.
